What Inspired Their Founder

Founder Henry Vincenty is a Danish scientist. A decade ago, while studying Biotechnology and Genetics at the University of Copenhagen, he went on a humanitarian mission to Africa. While there, he became disheartened by how many mainstream medical treatments seemed of little help and potentially made people sicker. He decided to explore alternatives.

Henry soon figured out that a holistic approach to wellness is just as effective but avoids modern medicine’s adverse side effects. He learned that focusing on nutrition and ensuring people received adequate vitamins and minerals could have a majorly positive impact on their health. He also began to research Native American healing plants, including cannabis.

No Hemming, No Hawing – Hemp Helps

After reading about the positive effects of cannabis, Henry decided to put his research to practical use. Cultivating THC-free varieties of hemp plants had been legal in Europe since 1997, so that’s exactly what he experimented with. And after reading promising research about CBD helping epilepsy, he bred a hemp plant rich in it and other macromolecules.

This hybrid was the launching point for his entire business. He decided his mission was to change the world’s opinion regarding cannabis by promoting a THC-free product. By 2010, Henry had planted 2 hectares (approximately 5 acres) of hemp. He also built a small state-of-the-art lab to ensure the best possible product in terms of safety and quality.
